Confined Spaces are the enclosed space like Sewers, Excavations and Storage Tanks

Why are confined spaces Dangerous, they have a lack of oxygen they can also have Poisonous Gases Fumes or Flammable Vapour which have built up, which can’t be seen without testing.

Under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, regulation 3.

Employers have a Duty to carry out Risk Assessments and Method Statements on Excavation and Confined Spaces and have Safe systems of work.
