The purpose of this module is for learners to understand how to prepare and set out masonry structures and understand the documentation that is used to assist them in this process.

The learner will gain an understanding of the documentation used in construction and how this assists them in the process of organising the building of the structure, they will also learn how to store the materials and stack them in preparation for the building process.

The module also covers how mortar and concrete are produced and the composition of a range of walls that are used in construction.
