You will notice when working on-site that in certain areas of construction, more than one trade has to work alongside one another.
It is very important that trades co-operate with each other.
For a company to function properly and make a profit, it is essential to maintain good working relationships within the workforce.
To achieve this, various sections and members of the workforce must communicate with one another as fully as possible.
If other occupations need to work in my area I should be polite at all times and consider equality and diversity when communicating with other trades.
The working area should be free from hazards like slipping and tripping hazards
Pass on any Health and Safety issues applicable to the working area
I would speak to other trades to check I was not going to be working in their way, help out other trades on-site and work together.
Working with colleagues I would be talking about everyday working activities such as building walls or what tools or materials I would need.
We would also discuss any hazards to keep each other safe.
Poor communications cause negative feedback and can lead to delays and mistakes which will cause a loss of profit for the company.
