Skills Scan Tests
Level 2 Apprenticeship (9077)
There are three Skills Scan Tests for the apprentices for their initial assessment as follows
(1) Health & Safety
The Health & Safety skill scan test is to your knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety.
There are 137 questions divided into 9 groups, if you pass any group within the test you are not required to resit that assessment criteria group.
It is in your interest to take your time you have 60 minut
es, answer every question carefully before moving onto the next question.
To Pass all 9 groups you need 110 points

(2) Basic Principles in Construction
This test enables us to find out how much knowledge you have about this unit, this will help us plan and tailor your learning needs for your learning journey is successful.
Take your time, the test is set for 45 minutes.

(3) Brickwork
The Brickwork skill scan test is to your knowledge and understanding of Brickwork.
There are 25 questions you have 30 minutes, answer every question carefully before moving onto the next question.
To Pass you need 20 points
What are the Skills SCANS?
The skills scans are unique to each apprenticeship and can be used by employers to identify the skills shortages within the organisation or department and to pre-assess the suitability of employees to join the apprenticeship.
Every apprenticeship applicant and their tutor or assessor are required to complete the online Skills Scan.
They will assess the individual’s prior learning to establish the ‘starting point’, or baseline, for the apprentice.
This informs how much of the apprenticeship training content the individual requires.
This ensures that a broad, balanced, relevant, challenging, progressive and differentiated curriculum is offered to our candidate`s.
