Wheelbarrows

There are many types of wheelbarrows and various loads, for construction purposes a typical wheelbarrow will have a load from 2 cubic feet up to 6 cubic feet for a contractor-grade wheelbarrow.

Ideal for retrieving Large amounts of concrete, from a concrete shoot.

Scoops

Scoops

Scoops are ideal general-purpose with a wide range of powders and granules.

Their heavy-duty, crevice-free construction makes them ideal for use in the food and pharmaceutical industries.

Buckets

Heavy-duty plastic buckets are using construction for tough working conditions in construction.

Buckets come with a pouring spout, and strong metal handles with a and plastic grip.

A typical Load is 15kg ideal for retrieving small amounts of concrete, from a concrete shoot.

Shovels

Shovels

In construction, shovels are used for digging and lifting material such as mortar, concrete and soil.

The blade of the shovel has a broader blade that is curved inwards from left to right and is rounded or pointed at the tip.

A shovel is ideal for remix the sample of concrete.

Thermometer

A thermometer is a tool that measures temperature, how hot or cold it is outside.

This is important especially when it comes to laying concrete, it can only be laid within certain tolerances of temperature and time.

Combination Spanners

Combination Spanners

Combination spanners are double-ended tools, with both ends have an open-ended profile for adjusting nuts and have the size indicated.

It’s essential to use the correct open-end profile for the nuts on the tests cube moulds when disassembling or tightening up.

Paintbrushes

Paintbrushes come in various sizes and shapes for applying different types of material, ideal for applying releasing oils for when you do cube test moulds.

The brush needs to be flexible enough to get into every corner to ensure materials do not stick mould sides.

Releasing Oil

Releasing Oil

A release agent is a chemical used to prevent materials like concrete from bonding to mould, which makes it a lot easier to remove it from the mould without damaging the material encased in a mould.

Slump Cone & Tamping Rod

Slump Test uses the Cone as a standardised test measurement for measuring the workability of a fresh mix concrete, the cone can also be used in a flow test.

A Tamping Rod is needed to compact the concrete sample inside the cone in three different layers, each layer being tamping down by the required number of times.

Concrete or Mortar Mixing Tray

Concrete or Mortar Mixing Tray

A mixing tray is used to mix concrete or mortar on a surface that is free from contamination and catches any spillovers from the top edge of the cone.

The tray is cleaned before lifting the cone for a slump test or for a flow test.

Concrete Cube Mould

Can be made out of plastic or steel construction and are used for concrete compression strength testing.

Before using concrete cube moulds they need to be cleaned and have a coat of releasing oil applied to all surfaces before use.

Cube moulds can be 100x100m or 150x150mm square

Concrete Cube Curing Tank

Concrete Cube Curing Tank

Cube Curing Tank is a 110v tank that is normally placed on a construction site for testing concrete deliveries of concrete to ensure that they are to the required standard.

After samples have been taken they are placed inside the tank for some time before sending off for testing.

Concrete Flow Table

A concrete flow table measure the workability of the concrete, some tables have markings on the surface to indicate the flow diameter.

The table normally consists of two plates one being the bottom plate and the other being the top plate which is on a hinge to complete the test.

Tape Measure & Waterproof Felt Tip

Tape Measure & Waterproof Felt Tip

When measuring the slump test or the flow test you need to make sure that the blade of a tape measure is stiff enough to hold horizontally or vertically so it doesn’t hit the concrete.

When marking the concrete test cube you need to use a waterproof felt tip pen before placing it into the Cube Curing Tank.

Rubber Mallet

Rubber mallet as the name suggests, the head of the mallet is made of oil-resistant rubber, good wear resistance, good elasticity, durable.

The handle is made of pure wood, and the grip is comfortable and suitable for one-hand operation.

The rubber mallet heads are available in 16oz, 24oz & 32oz, and the rubber mallet head of the hammer also makes it bounce resistant and is less likely to leave hammerhead marks.

Never strike a steelhead hammer against any steel material like cube test moulds, a rubber mallet is ideal for helping to release the steel mould from the concrete cub.
